Allergenius Baking Co. began as a simple idea in a Wheaton North High School classroom. As a part of the Business INCubator class curriculum, students develop products in an entrepreneurial fashion. We, being the overachievers that we are, relentlessly pursued our idea to produce baked goods for people with allergies. After winning the local INCubatorEDU pitch competition, we were able to cover some startup funds to help us launch our business. Then, over the summer, we were pooled into a group of 30 other teams from around the country as Semi-Finalists for the National Pitch Competition. This group was narrowed down to 5 teams, one of which was Allergenius, to pitch at the INCubatorEDU National Pitch Competition at the Convene center in Chicago, IL.
After a night of speaking from the brilliant teenagers from all around the country, Allergenius Baking Co was selected by the five investors as the winner of a $15,000 investment.
With this generous grant we plan to push Allergenius to its limits in the future, so stay tuned!
